Danica MacRae is a dedicated patient advocate and strongly believes in the power of student mentorship. She studied nutrition at The University of Texas at Austin before beginning her nursing journey in the RN program at Austin Community College. Danica furthered her nursing education by earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University.
Currently, Danica is an associate professor at Austin Community College. With a diverse background in nursing, education, and healthcare simulation, she has experience providing direct patient care and collaborating with healthcare teams. After transitioning into academia and healthcare simulation, Danica focused on curriculum development and student mentorship, becoming an expert in designing and implementing simulation scenarios to enhance student learning. As a simulation center director, she manages operations and supports faculty in integrating simulation into the curriculum.
Danica is passionate about advancing nursing education and improving patient care through innovative approaches.
